The Challenge
Oben Electric is at the forefront of revolutionising the electric two-wheeler industry in India, with a commitment to in-house design, development, and manufacturing. Founded in 2020 by IIT & IIM alumni, Oben Electric is a promising force in the EV two-wheeler space, known for its innovative technology and advanced battery chemistry. With a focus on 'Make in India', the company is transforming the electric motorcycle landscape with its flagship product, the Oben Rorr — a stylish, neo-retro electric motorcycle that stands out for its cutting-edge design and engineering.
As Oben Electric seeks to cement its position as a leader in the electric motorcycle market, they recognized the need for compelling visual content that effectively communicates the unique features, design and benefits of their product. The challenge was twofold: First, to visually showcase the Rorr's distinctive design and advanced technology in a way that captures the attention of potential customers. Second, to create engaging video content that highlights the key aspects of the motorcycle, from its innovative battery technology to its sleek, retro-inspired aesthetics.
At Sens Visuals, we collaborated with Oben Electric to create high-quality 3D automotive renders and engaging animations that showcased Rorr as a market disruptor. Our goal was to ensure that the visual content not only reflect the brand’s technological innovations but also resonate with the target audience, making complex technical details understandable and engaging.
Our Approach
Mission Debrief and First Steps
Our collaboration with Oben Electric began with a deep dive into the Rorr electric motorcycle's design, technology, and market positioning. We held extensive discussions with Oben's marketing and product development teams to understand their vision for the Rorr and their objectives for the launch campaign.

Oben Electric’s team expressed the need for a series of 3D animated video teasers and still-renders that could be used across their website, social media platforms, and other digital channels. The aim was to create visually striking content that would resonate with tech-savvy and environmentally conscious consumers, highlighting the Rorr’s innovation and style.​
How was 3D Visualization used?
1 Brainstorming
The creative process began with brainstorming sessions focused on how to best present the Rorr motorcycle’s sleek design and advanced features. The goal was to create a sense of excitement and anticipation around their first product launch.

Oben Electric provided us the 3D designs of the motorcycle, as well as access to the physical prototype for reference. Our creative team used these resources to conceptualize a series of animations and still renders that would visualize Rorr as the beast it is: both in a digital environment, as well as various marketing events and the first showroom of Oben in Bengaluru.
2 The Creative Pipeline and Execution
We established the creative pipeline so that we could quickly and effectively produce 3D animated product videos and image renders for Rorr as per the marketing and branding strategies.
3D Modelling
Our team made creative enhancements and optimized the 3D designs of Rorr, provided by Oben Electric, for the animation and rendering pipeline.
Texturing
The optimized models were handed over to our 3D Lookdev artists, to develop textures and additional decals to replicate the real-world materials of the Rorr motorcycle. Attention was given to every detail, from the metallic finishes to the plastic surfaces, ensuring the renders would look as realistic as possible. The logos, badging and additional stickers were also added.
Animation
Using the scripts and storyboards developed in collaboration with Oben's marketing team, our animators brought Rorr to life. Each animation was designed to showcase key aspects of the motorcycle, from its ARX frame, sleek lines, formidable battery pack, to its powerful acceleration. We created teaser videos, feature videos, and product launch animations, all of which were tailored to capture the attention of online audiences.
Our team would then create preview outputs of the animation which would be shared with the client for feedback.
Rigging
The animation team rigged the 3D models, setting up virtual controllers that would allow for dynamic and realistic movements in the animation. This step was crucial for creating animations that could accurately depict the motorcycle’s real-life movements. Apart from creating rigs for the handles, wheels and stand, the exposed belt drive of Rorr was rigged to the rear wheel, ensuring that they behave in a realistic fashion.
Lookdev
Our Lookdev team carefully planned the lighting setup and visual composition of each shot, emphasizing Rorr’s premium and unique design, powerful headlamps and a robust display screen. We aimed to create visual narratives that would evoke a sense of minimalism and innovation, aligning with Oben Electric’s brand image.
We would share preview still renderings from each shot and still composition to ensure that the client knew how the final output would look like, reducing chances of time-consuming iterations.
Editing
The final renderings and animations were composited with additional visual effects and 2D graphics to highlight specific design elements and features of Rorr. Colour-correction and colour-grading were applied to ensure consistency with Oben Electric’s branding. Royalty-free music were added for immersive viewing experience.
Collaboration with the Client
Delivery of Creatives
After iterative reviews and approvals, the final creatives would be delivered to Oben Electric. These rendered outputs would then be used by Oben’s marketing and design teams in their marketing campaigns deployed across their digital channels.
Close collaboration with Oben EV's marketing and design team allowed for rapid feedback loops, ensuring that the creative outputs aligned perfectly with Oben’s vision.

3D Product Showcase Animation Videos
3D Product Showcase Animations provide a brief overview of the product and highlight key features and design elements.​
We delivered a series of short, high-impact animations that highlighted the Rorr’s unique design and advanced features. These videos were designed to grab attention on digital platforms, providing a dynamic and engaging way to introduce the motorcycle to potential customers​

3D Technical Animations
​These short 3D animations, often created with a transparent background, were created to showcase specific features and functionality of the Rorr.

These animations highlighted the motorcycle’s features like its ARX frame, which is a lightweight but strong backbone of the vehicle, and features like its large LFP battery and their efficient heat exchange system which allows for maximum airflow, keeping the battery cool.
These animations are integrated to the Rorr’s web pages, effectively showcasing these practical design and engineering feats.

3D Product Turnarounds
​The product turnaround feature can be found in most interactive and responsive automotive websites. It usually comprises a series of 3D still renders, taken from different angles.

Our interactive 3D product turnarounds gave potential customers the ability to explore the Rorr in detail, enhancing their understanding of the product and increasing their engagement with the brand.

3D Still Renders
​The 3D still renders are single rendered images of the product.

The still renders provided Oben Electric with visually appealing images for use in their marketing materials, ensuring the Rorr stood out in the crowded online marketplace, as well as creating an impact on print media.
3D Still Renders show the Rorr in a clean, minimalist and visually appealing manner to build brand awareness online. The more visually appealing the product images are, the easier it is to create brand differentiation.
